Arrowpoint Realty currently manages approximately 125 residential rental properties throughout the metro Phoenix/Scottsdale area, for individual invests, and also a small portfolio of approximately 20 rentals owned by Christ Church Lutheran in Phoenix
Arrowpoint Realty, Inc. was founded by Michael Novotny and Phillip Denaro in April, 1985 as a Phoenix-based, full-service real estate company, originally for the purpose of marketing a new subdivision on Arrowhead Ranch, in nearby Glendale. Michael bought out Phil within the first year, and shifted the focus of the new company to having an especial emphasis on services for investor-clients, such as leasing and property management and moved the offices to Scottsdale.
In 1989, Michael merged Arrowpoint Realty with Chuck Lesser Associates and the new firm continued to operate under the Arrowpoint name through 1991, when Chuck Lesser and eldest son, Dan Lesser, decided to resume their real estate practice under the name Lesser Associates. Chuck has sinced passed away and today, Lesser Associates continues with younger son, Larry, carrying on the family business.
In 1989 Michael Novotny, along with partner Chuck Lesser and other local brokers, joined together to establish what would ultimately become the Residential Leasing and Property Managers Committee at the Scottsdale Association of REALTORS®. As part of that group, Michael went on over the next decade to write, produce and host a number of specialized educational programs on topics specific to residential property management, including one called "CRITTERS," which dealt with extermination and pest control issues ranging from scorpions to rattlesnakes to javelinas.
Shortly after the turn of the century in 2002, Arrowpoint Realty, Inc. moved from its long-time Miller Road - Downtown Scottsdale location to its current address on McCormick Ranch. Within minutes of the new 101 loop, it is easy to reach virutally anywhere in the Valley, and Arrowpoint has been extending its operational boundaries.
In April of 2010, Arrowpoint Realty, Inc will celebrate its 25th anniversary in business. Although we are a small boutique type of firm, we continue to innovate and stay on the cutting edge of our segment of the market place. In 2006 we changed our property management software to the more advanced Promas system, enabling us to greatly upgrade our reporting and management services. In 2007, we upgraded to a state-of-the-art telephone and messaging system, and in 2009, we are moving to more wireless and Internet based features -- more about that to come soon.
We continue to publish The Arizona Sunlands Newsletter for our clients -- that publication actually goes back to 1984.
